We are honored to welcome our guests Parviz Sayyad, Mary Apick, and Apick Youseffian to our first PACSA Cinematheque event of the semester on Thursday, October 25th. We will be screening “Dead End”, a film written and directed by Parviz Sayyad, a celebrated actor, director, and screenwriter of Iranian cinema. Mr. Sayyad is well remembered for his role in his first film, “Hasan Kachal” and his role as “Samad Agha” in the famous “Samad” film series. 
Mary Apick is an Iranian-Armenian stage, television and film actress who won the award for Best Actress at the 10th Moscow International Film Festival for her role in the film “Dead End.” Her mother, Apick Youssefian, is also known for her role in “Dead End” as well as other films such as “The Cry of the Village” and “The Keeper.” Please join us on Thursday, October 25th from 7PM-9PM in Seeley G. Mudd Building (SGM) room 123 for the opportunity to watch this critically-acclaimed film beside these renowned figures in world of Iranian cinema. We hope to see you all there!
